Hello there…
I’m Lee.
Born in Liverpool. Grew up, educated and worked in New Zealand. Married a Kiwi Farmer, convinced him it would be great idea to take a “Working Holiday” for six months in the UK.
I’m still here after 20 odd years!
I love travel, photography, writing and food (good food) – You will never see me without my phone and my camera and laptop follow me on all my adventures.
I’ve built a business at Welshot, but this space is just for me and my thoughts
My blogging is something just for me, a place for me, my pen, my camera and my thoughts – a place to go to when life gets all a little bit too much and all I want to do is write.
Just for fun, opinions are my own, a place for this 50 plus years old to record my adventures, whatever and wherever they maybe.
I first picked up a camera in 1997 a week before I left New Zealand to travel around the United States for four months, on my way to Great Britain. Not the most brilliant of ideas and as you can imagine, my photos were really just snaps! Actually, they were worse, they were rubbish! I had NO idea how to use a camera. None at all!
Long story short, I met my business partner at the local camera club and the rest, as they say, is history.
Architecture (especially Doors & Windows) Travel, Food, Flat-Lays and Still-Life are my favourite genres.
I am an Olympus Camera user – and fully committed to their system – The cameras suit my lifestyle (and my handbags) and I can easily download the photos to my smartphone, using their Image Share App and upload to social media. All very handy when I am travelling.
